I need a substitution for ';sweet milk'; for a cornbread recipe?

Can I just add some sugar to milk??

It doesn't say 'condensed' so.... ?

Thanks!I need a substitution for ';sweet milk'; for a cornbread recipe?
If it is an old recipe or a southern recipe it just means regular milk, not buttermilk.I need a substitution for ';sweet milk'; for a cornbread recipe?
Usually most cornbreads use buttermilk, I would say go with that. I think that sweet milk is a kind of old milk brand that had something to set it apart from regular milk, I'd say go with buttermilk.
soy milk
Buttermilk is the best.

Don't like sweet cornbread.
They just mean regular milk as opposed to buttermilk (which is sour).
